Do What You Love, Love What You Do!

There are many ways to make money.

The best way is to work hard at what you love.

Produce what you produce for the love of producing it. When you love what you do and do it long enough, you cannot help but refine a style and skill all your own. Then share it with the world.

Be patient, consistent, and have faith. In time, someone is going to want what you are producing. Yes, they’ll even pay for it. Why? Because they see you’re the one who produces that “product” well. Others will want to work with, learn from, and follow you.

For example, I often get emails from people asking me to speak to their teams. I am no Tony Robbins, far from it. But, mostly thanks to writing a weekly short thought for the past few years, (often lifted straight out of one of my books) some believe I intermittently have noteworthy thoughts. These thoughts and presentations have become part of my identity.

Nothing is better than loving what you do and getting paid to do it. At that point, it’s not about work, money, and effort. Instead, it’s simply who you enjoy being.

Stay consistent and be brave enough to open yourself to criticism. That’s what scares most and keeps them imprisoned in lifeless vocations.

Being branded for doing what you love well is the best way to make a living while loving it.
